The beginning of October saw the completion of the kitchen at Rye Close, North Walsham, with the last few unit doors, shelves, skirting boards, glass splashback, window board and 2nd fix electrics. Client is awaiting flooring of their choice to be fitted (not by me) December 6th, and then I will return to fit plinths – – final photos to follow!

I also fitted in a re-hang of a toilet door and supply & fit of a new bathroom door at Terrence Avenue, Sprowston.

October 10th saw works start at Colossus Way, Costessey, on a new single storey extension, A really busy few weeks followed, which have seen the commencement, drains, foundations, footings, oversite, masonry shell, roof structure, Velux roof lights, roof tiling, 1st fix electrics, 1st fix plumbing, roof insulation, ceilings plaster boarded, new back door and window fitted, and the existing lounge French doors and window re-purposed and fitted into the extension.

New enquiries for future work continue to come in regularly, including a new kitchen in Spixworth and internal works in East Ruston.

September saw another kitchen refit – this time at Rye Close in North Walsham. The existing kitchen units, worktops and appliances were removed along with the existing kitchen and hall ceilings. New electrics were installed, plumbing altered as required, ceilings have been re-boarded and replastered throughout as necessary. A new Howdens kitchen (matte white wall units with navy base/tower units) has been fitted, along with oak effect 40mm square edge worktops. Some work-in-progress photos below:-

At Abbot Road, Horning, the clients returned from holiday so the gorgeous metallic gold glass splashbacks have been fitted, and 2nd fix electrics complete this kitchen refit.

 

Work continues to be very busy; next month I begin work on a single storey extension to a home in Costessey, and I’m now fully booked up into the New Year.

June, July and August all continued to be very busy as well as fitting in a much needed holiday.

Following the templating and fitting of the 20mm quartz white arabesque worktops, upstands and window cill, 2nd fix electrics, coloured glass splashback, timber floating shelves, plinths & flooring (by others), the lovely replacement (Howdens) kitchen at Bacton Road, North Walsham is complete.

I have also fitted timber studwork and plasterboarded walls to form shower walls and cupboard spaces in bathrooms in South Walsham, Stafford Street in Norwich, and Anchor Street in Coltishall.

Insulated floor, walls, ceiling loft hatch and a dividing wall to form bike storage have converted a garage into a utility room at Stan Petersen Close, Norwich. Finishing off works to be completed when fitted cupboards have been built in by others.

I have fitted an oak internal door, lining, stops and architrave to form a lobby at a home on Top Common, East Ruston.

In August I also replaced the existing kitchen at Abbot Road, Horning, with a Buildbase New York white gloss kitchen and white cotton star quartz worktops. Glass splashbacks are to be fitted later by others, and then 2nd fix electrics will complete this light and bright new kitchen.

Work orders and enquiries continue to come in steadily. I am replacing a kitchen at a home on Rye Close, North Walsham in September, and beginning work on a single storey extension in Costessey after that, which means I am now fully booked until the New Year.

The kitchen at English Road, Old Catton, is now finished as far as possible with just the plinths left to cut and fit once the client’s new flooring has been chosen and fitted (by others).

Floor to ceiling sliding wardrobe doors have been fitted to a bedroom in Colindeep Lane, Sprowston.

In Mulbarton I have removed an existing bathroom window and closed up the opening with matching exterior brickwork and interior studwork ready for others to complete a new shower room with a smaller window.

The main work in May has been the replacement of the existing kitchen complete at a home on Bacton Road, North Walsham – (as previously mentioned, a hellish commute!). The existing kitchen ceiling was also removed, complete new electrics fitted, ceiling replaced, and all of the kitchen replastered. A dusky blue Howdens kitchen has now been installed and I am awaiting worktops to be templated and fitted in June.

Orders and enquiries continue to come in steadily, with confirmed projects of a garage conversion at Stan Peterson Close, a replacement kitchen in Hethersett, and a possible single storey extension at Colossus Way, Costessey all in the pipe line.

One busy month seems to follow another, and April was no different.

Most of this month was taken up with the fitting of a new kitchen at English Road, Old Catton. 1st fix plumbing was completed, ceiling and walls plasterboarded, walls made good and then the kitchen was completely replastered. Once all of the plastering was dry and decorated all the kitchen units, doors, worktops, upstands, cornice and appliances were fitted. All 2nd fix plumbing and electrics are now also complete.
